On June 27th, the final award list of the 13th Blue Bridge Cup National Software and Information Technology Professional Talent Competition were released. Guo Dongrong from the College of Future Information Technology won the second prize in University C/C++ programming Group B, and Qi Ziming and Chen Longgang from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering won the third prize in the same group.

Supported by the employment guidance center of the Ministry of education, and under the direction of the talent exchange center of the Ministry of industry and information technology, the Blue Bridge Cup competition is a national IT competition for college students, which has been successfully held for 13 times by Guoxin Blue Bridge Education Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. More than 1,300 colleges and universities throughout the country, including Peking University and Tsinghua University , participated the Blue Bridge Cup competition, and the total number of contestants has exceeded 400 thousand people . with involvement of IBM, Baidu and other well-known enterprises, it is an IT competition , widely recognized by the IT industry. In 2019, 2020 and 2021, this competition has been listed in the ranking list of national competition in Colleges and universities by the Ministry of Education for three consecutive yearsand now it has become an important competition project for university teaching reform and innovative talent training.

Aimed at "promoting learning &teaching through competition ", our university continues to improve the quality of talents in information and technology and enhance the students’ employability and competitiveness. The 13th Blue Bridge Cup competition on campus selection is organized by the Academic Affairs Office and implemented by the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. There are three modules in this competition: C/C++, Java and MCU design. A total of 164 students from the College of Future Information Technology, the College of Science and the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering participated in the competition, reaching a new high over the years. After fierce competition, 64 students finally entered the provincial competition. During the winter vacation, the ACM club coach and team leader teachers from College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering carefully analyzed and summarized the past competition problems, and prepared for the competition by using various methods such as Dingding and Nowcoder, so that the contestants could be familiar with the competition system and further improve in algorithm. Under the idea of “competition for training” they use simulation competitions to improve the students’ ability to win. And finally they won 5 First Prizes, 16 Second Prizes and 17 Third Prizes in the provincial level competition. Among them, 5 top players successfully headed for the national competition and achieved good results, ranking in the top among similar colleges and universities in the province.

In recent years,based on Student’s Innovation Center, Shijiazhuang University has set up eight discipline competition modules such as ACM club and smart car section. Teachers with excellent academic abilities are carefully selected as instructors. They paid close attention to daily training and carefully prepared for competitions, laying a good foundation for achieving excellent competition results. By participating in the Blue Bridge Cup competition, the students’logical thinking has been cultivated, their programming ability has been improved, and their professional vision has been expanded , which greatly promoted cultivation of high-quality application-oriented talents.
