On August 12th, Chen Liang, Party Secretary and Xu Yongzheng, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC SJZU committee, and Vice President Hu Xiaoguang went to Anli Village of Pingshan County to carry out the activity of "visiting relatives" and investigate the development of the work in the village.

Chen and his delegation first visited families that had been lifted out of poverty, asking kindly about their health, their sources of income, and difficulties they face in production and life, and encouraging them to strengthen their confidence and actively seek the road to prosperity. They subsequently discuss with the village work teamand the officials of the village and got a clear understanding of the production and living conditions of Anli Village, the progress of the assistance in the village and the life of the village work team. Finally, school bags, pencil-boxes and other school supplies are donated for the students in Anli Village.

Chen fully affirmed the achievements of the team, and expressed that the university would continue to increase its support for the poverty relief work in the village. He then put forward three requirements for the future work afterwards: Firstly, to strengthen our sense of responsibility and mission, deeply understand the significance of implementing the rural revitalization strategy in comprehensively building a modern socialist country, and improve our political position in planning development ideas and fulfilling our responsibilities. Secondly, to strengthen the theoretical armament, improve the policy level, cultivate talents in dealing with urgent, difficult and dangerous work, and constantly improve the ability and quality to adapt to the new situation and new tasks. Thirdly, capitalizing on advantages of our university on certain disciplines, to activly make efforts in talent, scientific and technological, educational, and cultural assistance, etc., so as to effectively improve the happiness and satisfaction of the villager.

The activity has pointed out the direction for the team to further carry out its work, who vowed to continue to firmly carry out its work trying to live up to the trust of the Party Committee and the expectation of the villagers, and to do more practical work for greater development consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
