The theoretical learning center subordinate to Shijiazhuang University Party Committee organized group study on the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at a study session of provincial and ministerial-level officials, relevant articles in QiuShi Journal and Xi Jinping’s another speech at a central conference on the united front work. All the committee members attend the study session and Chen Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang University, presided over and addressed the meeting.

All the members agreed that Xi Jinping’s speech make a scientific analysis on current international and domestic situation, summarizing the work of the past five years and the great changes that have taken place in the past decade. Xi Jinping’s speech elaborated the major theoretical and practical issues on adherence to and developing Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the new era, and it underscored holding high the banner of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and striving to write a brand-new chapter in building a modern socialist country in all respects. His speech deeply expounded the major policies and programs for the development of the cause of the Party and the country in the future, with which all the Party members get a better understanding of the core position of Xi Jinping and the significance of his thought, which is also of vital significance to further strengthen the “Four Consciousnesses”, hold firmly the “Four Matters of Confidence” and practice the “Two Upholds”.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Party's united front policy, General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered the important speech at a central conference on the united front work. He fully affirmed the historic contribution of the century old united front and the achievements of the united front work in the new era, and elucidated the new ideas and strategies formed in the united front work since the 18th CPC National Congress. He put forward the guiding ideology, basic tasks, work priorities and policies and measures for doing well the united front work by analyzing the orientation of the work in the new era.

Chen Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang University, called for efforts to earnestly study Xi's important speeches, grasping Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, so as to think and act in line with its guiding principles. All the members should constantly enhance political judgment, political understanding and political execution. In an effort to implement the spirit of the United Front Work Conference of Hebei province, the university will continue to develop and strengthen the patriotic united front in the new era in light with the actual situation of Shijiazhuang University; encourage and support non-Party intellectuals to make achievements based on their own duties and display their talents and ambitions; transform learning achievements into confidence and measures to promote the university's "second entrepreneurship". Shijiazhuang University will contribute its wisdom and strength to speeding up the construction of a modern, international and beautiful provincial capital city, greeting the 20th CPC National Congress with outstanding achievements.
