Recently, the results of the 10th "Datang Cup" The Information and Communication Technology Competition for National College Students of the New Generation (provincial competition) were announced. The 11 participating teams selected by our university won 3 second prizes and 7 third prizes.

"Datang Cup" is a competition project of "National College Student Competition Ranking" of Higher Education Association. It is sponsored by Talent Exchange Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Communication Enterprises Association, and undertaken by CITIC Mobile Communications, Datang Mobile Communications and Beijing College Electronic Information Professional Group of Beijing Education Commission. The competition aims to test students' knowledge of information and communication technology, and give introduction to engineering, 5G network technology, 5G engineering practice, and 5G+ vertical industries.

This is the first time for our teachers and students participate in this competition. Under the strong support of the Academic Affairs Office, since November last year, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has actively organized teachers to provide theoretical guidance to the participating students through a combination of online and offline methods, and formulated targeted training plans. Through technical guidance and method explanation, students are fully familiar with the process of the competition. The students studied hard and prepared actively for the competition, showing their professional style and level.

This competition is an important measure for the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to thoroughly implement the development strategy of "1396" and focus on the project of improving students' comprehensive literacy. It is also a new achievement of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to continuously promote the collaborative development of industry and education in combination with the latest development direction of the industry.
