On the morning of October 31, Party Secretary Chen Liang and Vice President Yao Zhenjun came to Yiling Health City to formally award Professor Wu Yiling, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a lifelong honorary director appointment letter of the Academic Committee of Shijiazhuang University.

On behalf of all teachers and students, Chen Liang expressed his sincere thanks to Academician Wu Yiling for his strong support in personnel training and discipline construction of the university. Chen Liang pointed out that in recent years, the university has adhered to the local, application-oriented and international university-running positioning, based on Shijiazhuang, facing Hebei Province, radiating Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and actively serving the high-quality development of regional economy and society. Standing on the new journey of the second entrepreneurship of the university, the university Party committee has evaluated the situation, seized the rare historic development opportunity of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the construction of the strong provincial capital, built master's programs around biology and medicine, electronic information, education and other disciplines, and made every effort to strive for the right to grant master's degree units, and made great progress in disciplines, scientific research and innovation, teachers, and conditions. Wu Yiling, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, famous TCM cardiovascular expert, founder and discipline leader of TCM collaterals, director of National Key Laboratory of Collaterals Theory Innovation and Transformation. Academician Wu Yiling systematically constructed the theoretical system of collaterals, established the theory of syndrome and treatment of collaterals, the theory of vein and Qi collaterals, edited the representative monographs "Collaterals", "Theory of Vein" and "Theory of Qi Collaterals", edited the textbook "Collaterals" in more than 40 medical colleges and universities, and "Collaterals of Traditional Chinese Medicine" has become a high-level key discipline of traditional Chinese medicine construction project of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Academician Wu Yiling guided clinical specialty construction and new drug research and development with the theory of collateral disease, developed more than 10 kinds of national patented new drugs, won the first prize of National Science and Technology progress and six national science and technology awards, made outstanding contributions to the progress, industrialization and modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, and was awarded the "National Outstanding Contribution Award of Traditional Chinese Medicine".
