At the beginning of spring, the wind and flowers bloom, and all things start to grow. On the evening of January 5th, the 2024 International New Year Symphony Concert of "Striving, Shijiazhuang University" was successfully held at the Shangwen Auditorium on South Campus. Chen Liang, Secretary of the University Party Committee, Xu Yongzheng and Wang Xibo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Presidents Feng Baoqiang and Li Juan, and the Vice Dean of the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts of Italy attended. More than 1000 middle-level leaders, representatives of teachers and students from various colleges, and guests from different sectors of society attended the concert.

The concert was jointly organized by the School of International Exchange, Yueda International Institute of Arts, Propaganda Department, Student Affairs Department (Office), and Youth League Committee. The Hebei Symphony Orchestra was specially invited to perform, with renowned Tuo Peng as the conductor and Wang Jia as the band’s leader.

The International New Year Symphony Concert opened with the grand "Ode to the Red Flag". Subsequently, teachers from Yueda International Institute of Arts and School of Music, as well as artists from the Symphony Orchestra, jointly performed 14 classic songs, including "Can You Hear My Lover", "The Brilliant Red Date on the Cliff", "Snow, To the tune of Chin Yuan Chun", "Land and Ocean in Provence", "You Won the Lawsuit", " A Love Melody between Two Places ","Dare to Ask Where is the Way", etc., bringing a highly humanistic and cultural feast to the teachers and students on site. After each piece of music was played, there were bursts of warm and lasting applause. Finally, all the actors and the Shangyue Chorus of Yueda International Institute of Arts sang "I Love You China" together. The powerful melody, flowing rhythm, and resounding singing showcased the ideals and striving spirits of the teachers and students of Shijiazhuang University, pushing the performance atmosphere to a climax.

This was the first time that our university had held an international new year symphony concert. The successful holding of the event was a part of the practice of our university actively spreading high culture, enhancing the artistic accomplishment of teachers and students, fully exerting the diverse educational functions by educating people with beauty, civilizing people with beauty, and cultivating people with beauty, and forging a Shijiazhuang University with openness and culture.
