On the morning of March 27, our school held a school-level key discipline selection committee in the conference room on the third floor of the Administration building. Vice Presidents Feng Baoqiang and Li Juan attended the meeting and made speeches. Members of the Academic Committee of the University and relevant staff of the Graduate Education Development Center attended the meeting.

Feng Baoqiang pointed out that in the critical period of in-depth implementation of the school's "1396" development strategy and commemoration of the 20th anniversary of upgrading, it is of great significance to organize the selection and construction of key disciplines. He stressed that first, to strengthen confidence, we must build key disciplines well, give full play to the leading role of disciplines, and promote the development of schools to improve quality and efficiency and expand their impact. Second, the key to the construction of key disciplines lies in the specific construction work after the establishment of the project, the academic committee should effectively play a role, pay close attention to the construction of disciplines, and guide the construction of relevant key disciplines. Third, it is necessary to broaden the horizon and improve the ability and level of discipline construction through various forms such as learning exchanges and expert lectures.

The selection of university-level key disciplines will strengthen discipline leadership, optimize discipline layout, refine school-running characteristics, enhance scientific and technological innovation ability, serve the provincial capital strategy, improve talent training quality, and lay a solid foundation for the next round of master's degree authorization review and application of more advanced key disciplines.
