On the morning of July 10th, the 20th anniversary celebration of SJZU Social Practice Base in Pingshan Guyue Middle School was held in the auditorium of Pingshan Guyue Middle School in Hebei Province. Chen Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee of SJZU, Feng Baoqiang, Vice President, Li Yonghong, Minister of the Youth Department of Hebei Youth League Committee, Wang Wei, Secretary of SJZ Youth League Committee, Qu Hui, Deputy Secretary of Pingshan County Party Committee, Xue Baojun, President of Pingshan Guyue Middle School attended. More than 120 people including head of Hebei Youth League Committee, Shijiazhuang Youth League Committee, Pingshan County Education Bureau, Guyue Middle School, SJZU Youth League Committee, Student Work Department (Office), Propaganda Department, Foreign Language School, School of Science and alumni representatives attended the celebration.

At the ceremony, Chen Liang delivered a speech expressing sincere gratitude for the warm reception and strong support of Pingshan Guyue Middle School, and congratulated the students who actively participated in social practice and made progress. He reviewed the development process and achievements of the practice base over the past 20 years, pointing out that the establishment and development of the social practice base in Pingshan Guyue Middle School is a success of deep integration of education and practice, and a valuable achievement jointly made by Shijiazhuang University and Pingshan Guyue Middle School. The practice base was established when our school was promoted to an undergraduate university. Chen Liang emphasized that since the promotion, SJZ has been adhering to the spirit of the school motto of "virtue, erudition, practicality, and innovation", orientation of local, applied-orientated and international university as well as path of development of applied universities. SJZU has improved our comprehensive strength, social influence and reputation for education. All undertakings have shown a vigorous and positive development trend. Next, SJZU will further deepen inter school cooperation and resource sharing mechanisms, jointly promote the sustainable development of social practice bases, further optimize the practical curriculum system, enrich practical content, enhance practical effects, and strive to create a distinctive and widely influential social practice brand, jointly promoting the development of rural education. At the same time, we also wish that the practice team members will devote their youth to our country, learn and grow in practice, and firmly believe in taking responsibility for Chinese path to modernization.

They encouraged the service group to continue to adhere to its original intention, keep in mind its mission, constantly develop new practice patterns, enrich practice content, improve its practice quality, and strive to build the social practice base into an important position to cultivate young students' sense of social responsibility, spirit of innovation and practical ability, so as to contribute themselves to Chinese path to modernization.

On behalf of SJZU, Chen Liang, Feng Baoqiang, and Xue Baojun respectively exchanged banners and plaques with Guyue Middle School. SJZU donated cultural and sports supplies to the primary and secondary school students in Guyue.

Tian Huan, a 2007 graduate of the School of Foreign Languages, a member of the Education Care Service Team in 2006, and the general manager of Shijiazhuang Gaotai Diamond Tool Technology Co., Ltd., recalled so fondly the time when she taught in Guyue 19 years ago. She hopes that everyone can be disseminators of love, teaching more people with practical actions and benefit more children. Qu Hui, Deputy Secretary of Pingshan County Committee, presented commemorative trophies to representatives of the Education Care Service Team members in 2005, 2006, and 2007. The School of Foreign Languages and the School of Science have respectively signed cooperation agreements with Guyue Middle School. Both parties will engage in deeper cooperation in various fields such as education, teaching, and social practice, contributing to the joint cultivation of outstanding talents.

The School of Foreign Languages and the School of Science signed cooperation agreements with Guyue Middle School respectively.

At the ceremony, the practice team members sang the song "Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle"in Chinese and English together with primary and secondary school students, showing their thirst for knowledge and longing for the future. At the same time, the students of Guyue Middle School also prepared a special gift for the teachers —— a painted fan made by themselves, to express their gratitude to the volunteers.

Finally, all teachers and students participated in the themed tree planting activity of "Planting Green, Building the Future Together", symbolizing "20 years’ teaching in Guyue".

Since 2005, the Education Care Service Team of Shijiazhuang University has actively leveraged out professional advantages and started volunteer service in Guyue Middle School, mainly to teach the children there. It has offered three main courses: Fun English, Happy Mathematics, and Colorful Art, with an integration of traditional Chinese education, ideal education, gratitude education, safety education, and quality expansion education, forming a rich "3+5" teaching mode. Over the past 20 years, SJZU has sent more than 30 guiding teachers and over 500 summer social practice team members to tutor more than 2000 students over 2000 class hours totally. At the same time, we also contributed ourselves to poverty alleviation, respect for the elderly and disabled, care for left-behind children, and active promotion of Party's policies and national policies for people's livelihood and agriculture. We also provided help to the people in mountainous areas. Twenty years of persistence and responsibility in teaching have established an inseparable bond between the small town Guyue and us, as well as fruitful results have been made. The Education Care Service Team has successively won honors such as the National Excellent Team for Summer Social Practice and the National Demonstration Team for the "Sanxiaxiang Programme"(a program under which officials, doctors, scientist and college students go to the countryside to spread scientific and literacy knowledge and offer medical service to farmers). Xinhua News Agency, China News Service, Shijiazhuang Daily, and Shijiazhuang Television Station have reported on the activity multiple times. In 2024, the practice team will conscientiously implement the school's "1396" development strategy, based on the actual situation of rural education in Pingshan Guyue Middle School, give full play to our advantages of disciplines and majors, appropriately combine rural revitalization with college student volunteer service, carry out practical activities such as teaching support and policy preaching, and help promote the development of rural education in Pingshan revolutionary old areas, constantly contribute to school-local cooperation.
