On the afternoon of December 11, the opening ceremony for the pre-service training of new teachers in 2024 was held in the Virtual Simulation Laboratory of the School of Marxism in Shangzhi Building. Party Committee Secretary Chen Liang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary and President Wang Yongqin, and Vice President Feng Baoqiang attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by the leadership of the Personnel Office, supervisors of teacher ethics and style, representatives of outstanding senior teachers, and over 60 new teachers who joined in 2024. Vice President Feng Baoqiang presided over the ceremony.
At the meeting, Chen Liang issued appointment letters to the supervisors of teacher ethics and style. On behalf of the university, Wang Yongqin warmly welcomed the new teachers of 2024, introduced the school's development history, educational positioning, and achievements, and put forward three requirements for the new teachers: First, to solidify the foundation of faith in teaching and take on the mission of the times proactively. Second, to delve into research and aspire to produce more and significant outcomes. Third, to "pass on the torch on the three-foot podium" and bravely shoulder the responsibility of nurturing talents.


During the opening ceremony, representatives of both new and senior teachers spoke, sharing their insights and feelings, expressing their commitment to devote themselves wholeheartedly to teaching and research, and to the glorious mission of the school's "second entrepreneurship". All new teachers took an oath of office and signed a commitment to teacher ethics and style.
After the opening ceremony, Chen Liang delivered the first lecture for the new teachers. With the title "The Past, Present, and Future of Shijiazhuang University", he introduced the school's development history around four aspects: "Starting with Normal Education", "Seeking Change in Transformation and Development", "Highlighting Advantages and Features", and "Striving for the Forefront in the Second Entrepreneurship", and outlined the future development blueprint of the school.

He led everyone to review the school's arduous development history from its establishment in 1958 to 2004, through four relocations, the merger of three schools, and the promotion to a bachelor's degree institution. He outlined the fifteen years after the promotion to a bachelor's degree, during which the school completed the transformation from associate to bachelor's education and from a single discipline of teacher education to a multidisciplinary coordinated development. Focusing on "transformation and development", the school achieved the goal of comprehensive promotion to a bachelor's degree institution, thus successfully completing the "first entrepreneurship". He pointed out that in 2019, the school's second party congress proposed the development mainline of "leading and ensuring the construction of a first-class applied university with first-class party building", sounding the bugle for the school's "second entrepreneurship". The school has been continuously strengthening industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation in collaborative education, striving to leverage its advantages and create features. Since 2023, the school party committee has proposed the "1396" development strategy, clarifying the task book and roadmap for the school's construction and development. Over the past year, the "1396" development strategy has taken root in people's hearts, and the planning has achieved significant results, with the six major scenarios basically presented. He emphasized that the school's reform goal is not a pyramid but a Wuzhi Mountain, and we must strive to stand on one of the mountain tops!
Finally, Chen Liang put forward three requirements for the new teachers: First, to make a good career plan. According to the school's "13510" young talent training plan, combined with their own characteristics, to anchor the timetable and roadmap, and to learn, understand, and practice deeply. Second, to enhance the concept and cognition that "the organization is different because of me". Always remind oneself that the "big family" of Shijiazhuang University will be more prosperous and full of positive energy because of "my" joining. Third, to quickly form a self-motivation of "no need to whip to gallop". Truly achieve self-challenge, self-breakthrough, and self-motivation, and actively seek to gain a sense of achievement in realizing self-worth.
The training lasted for three days, using a combination of expert lectures, on-site visits, and practical teaching outside. The content covered various aspects such as teacher ethics education, business guidance, familiarity with the school's situation, and policy interpretation. The form was diverse, and the content was rich, which further strengthened the new teachers' ideals and beliefs in respecting teachers and teaching, enhanced their love for the school, clarified their direction of effort, and laid a solid foundation for new teachers to grow into the backbone of building a first-class applied university as soon as possible.
