Shijiazhuang University has officially joined CARSI services to assist the faculty and students in conveniently accessing a vast amount of academic resources
Release time:2025-04-10 10:46:19stamp
In order to further promote the digital transformation of education and enhance the convenience of obtaining scientific research and teaching resources for the faculty and students in our university, the Network Information Center has recently completed the deployment of the CARSI Federal Authentication System and officially joined CERNET Authentication and Resource Sharing Infrastructure, abbreviated as CARSI.
The CARSI Alliance is based on internationally recognized Shibboleth identity authentication technology and deeply integrated with our university’s unified identity authentication platform, innovatively realizing the “VPN free off campus access” mode. Through the CARSI service, the faculty and the students in the university only need to log in to the university’s unified identity authentication system to directly access academic resources such as electronic journals and e-books purchased by the school outside the campus. At the same time, seamless access to open academic resources from more than 60 countries and regions' educational institutions in the CARSI alliance is available.
At present, the faculty and the students can find the "CARSI Resource Sharing" entrance and enjoy the service through the "Common Systems" section of the "Smart Shiyuan" platform. With the help of CARSI, they can access a wealth of resources including Zhejiang University AI Agent Portal (Zhejiang University DeepSeek Full-powered Edition), the Open Science Computing Alliance Cloud, the National Gene Bank Life Big Data Platform, and electronic books and journals purchased by the university.
In the future, the Network Information Center will collaborate with departments such as libraries to continuously expand the resource scope of CARSI access based on the needs of the faculty and the students, and provide better information security for their scientific research innovation and remote teaching.
