From 24th to 25th May, The 77th AsLiCo International Youth Opera Singers Competition (China Region), organized by AsLiCo Asia, undertaken by Zhenchuan (Beijing) Culture Communication Co. Ltd, and co-organized by Yueda International Institute of Arts, was successfully held in Shangwen Auditorium of our university.The competition attracted nearly 100 players from major higher art colleges and comprehensive normal colleges across China. This year's tournament adopted a combination of online and offline modes, and was divided into two rounds: the preliminary round and the final round. After a fierce competition, two first prizes, four second prizes and six third prizes were finally selected. In addition, two newcomer awards and two best voice awards were also selected, and the top 30 players advanced to the Asia-Pacific competition. Four teachers and students from Yueda International Institute of Arts participated in the competition, and two teachers successfully advanced and received certificates for the event.

This year’s competition is chaired by renowned tenor singer Wang Chuanyue as the jury. Jin Zhiming, Dean of the College of Culture and Arts, Xiangming University, South Korea, as Guest Chairperson, together with vocal experts, professors of a number of domestic top conservatories, colleges of arts, part of the comprehensive normal universities, a total of 17 judges composed of the jury to jointly assess. Among them, Hao Zhiming, Dean of Yueda International Institute of Arts, served as the vice-chairman of the jury. During the competition, a vocal masterclass by Professor Jin Zhiming and an awards concert were also held simultaneously.

In order to ensure the smooth running of the competition, Yueda International Institute of Arts set up a professional service team consisting of more than 20 teachers and students, and implemented fine management in the preparation of the event, venue security, guest reception, publicity and promotion, etc., the professionalism and rigorous attitude was fully affirmed by the organizing committee of the event as well as the teachers of the jury.

On the evening of 25 May, the awards concert was successfully staged, the winners took the stage in turn and sang “Come on, enjoy the mischief”, “Oh, my Fernando”, “Rumour, Slander”, “Quickly give way to the busy man” and other tracks, professional singing, heartfelt interpretation, won the applause of the audience. During the concert, Hao Zhiming, Dean of Yueda International Institute of Arts, and Li Xiangyu, Vice President of Yueda International Institute of Arts, presented the appointment letter of visiting professor of Shijiazhuang University to Professor Jin Zhiming and Professor Jin Fengwei. Professor Jin Fengwei also presented a letter of appointment to Feng Xiaowei, the teacher-in-charge of the Shangyue Choir of Yueda International Institute of Arts, and the two sides will carry out in-depth co-operation on choral art education and practice.

The success of this competition has increased the school's international visibility and influence, and also built a high-level professional exchange platform for domestic and foreign art schools, promoted the development of vocal education in the school, and played a positive role in improving the quality of vocal talent training.Next, Yueda International Institute of Arts will continue to deepen the mechanism of collaborative education between schools and enterprises, and build a more open international art education ecosystem through the two-way linkage of introducing top international vocal music events and conveying excellent teachers and students to participate in international art exchanges, so as to inject new kinetic energy into the school to comprehensively enhance its international running level.
