President Wang Yongqin Conducts Special Research on Discipline Construction and Practical Teaching at the School of Law and Society

On the morning of May 27, President Wang Yongqin visited the School of Law and Society to conduct research and provide guidance. The activity was attended by relevant officials from the university’s office and academic affairs office, as well as members of the School of Law and Society’s leadership team, directors of teaching and research offices, and representatives of doctoral faculty.
During the symposium, participants reported on the school’s discipline and major construction, faculty development, student affairs, and social services, while also offering suggestions on issues such as teaching reform, research enhancement, and student competitions. Wang Yongqin had an exchange and discussion with everyone on conducting organized scientific research, implementing open education, and cultivating innovative talents. She hoped the School of Law and Society would focus on the importance of leveraging disciplinary strengths, promoting interdisciplinary integration, deepening university-enterprise collaboration, strengthening social services, and expanding the school’s influence. She encouraged the School of Law and Society to remain steadfast and persistent in its efforts, striving for higher-quality development through the collective dedication of faculty and students.
The head of the School of Law and Society expressed commitment to advancing discipline and major construction based on innovative practices in local governance modernization, improve the quality of applied talent training, comprehensively enhance the quality level of various work, and strive to produce more achievements, make greater achievements, and achieve better results.
During the research, Wang Yongqin visited the simulated courtroom, electronic evidence training lab, multifunctional group social work training lab, and digital smart elderly care training lab. She inquired about the facilities and operations of these labs and exchanged ideas with faculty and students on teaching practices and research innovation.
