Our University Achieves Historic Breakthrough at Provincial Teaching Skills Competition

Our university has secured its best-ever results at the final round of the Hebei Provincial Undergraduate Normal Students Teaching Skills Innovation Competition, which concluded on May 28th.
Organized by the Education Department of Hebei Province and hosted by Hebei Normal University, the competition saw our delegation excel. Gao Yitian from the School of Teacher Education clinched first prize with top honors in the Primary School Group. Gu Boshu, also from the School of Teacher Education, won a second prize in the same group. Guo Yongjun from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering earned a third prize in the Junior High School Group. This marks a significant milestone, representing the university’s highest achievement level in the competition’s history.
Additionally, our institution was awarded the “Outstanding Organization Award”, while Liu Lei, a teacher from the School of Teacher Education, received the “Outstanding Instructor Award”.
Launched in November 2024, the competition attracted 108 participants from 11 universities across Hebei province offering teacher education programs. After rigorous preliminary rounds, 49 finalists competed. Contestants were evaluated on teaching design, simulated classroom teaching, and responses to expert questioning.
Our students distinguished themselves through solid expertise, innovative lesson designs, and excellent on-site performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of our teacher training programs.
The university will leverage this experience to enhance teaching quality through competition-driven training, contributing to educational excellence in Hebei and nationwide.
