On the afternoon of May 27th, our school held the “Bolue Lecture Hall” and the “Weekend Expert Tour of Hebei” special event. We specially invited Academician Wang Xujin, an expert in micro-nano manufacturing and chip manufacturing, to give an academic exchange report titled “Opportunities and Challenges of Scientific and Technological Innovation in the AI Era”. More than 200 people, including all the school leaders, middle-level cadres, and teacher representatives, listened to the report. Principal Wang Yongqin presided over the report meeting.

Academician Wang Xujin pointed out in his lecture that AI has become the core driving force of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, and is penetrating into all fields in an all-round way, bringing unprecedented opportunities for scientific and technological innovation. The powerful data analysis and processing capabilities of AI accelerate the scientific discovery process, reshape the scientific research paradigm, achieve the intelligence and precision of the scientific research process, and enhance the efficiency and quality of scientific research. After the report, the participants had in-depth exchanges and interactions with Academician Wang Xujin on artificial intelligence-related technologies.

In the concluding remarks, Wang Yongqin pointed out that Academician Wang Xujin, with his profound insights and unique perspectives accumulated over many years in the field of scientific and technological innovation, closely combined the distinct characteristics and development trends of the current AI era, and deeply analyzed for everyone the rich opportunities as well as the numerous challenges standing in the way forward.

This event broadened the horizons of both teachers and students, created a strong academic atmosphere, and provided an important direction for teachers to carry out academic research.
