On the morning of June 4th, Stefano Mosena, Vice President of Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia in Italy, and his delegation came to our university for exchange and visit. Li Juan, Vice President of our university, participated in the exchange activity and signed a framework cooperation agreement with Stefano Mosena on behalf of our university.
At the symposium, Li Juan welcomed the visit of Stefano Mosena and his party and introduced the basic situation of the university's history, major settings, general education, cultivation of students' comprehensive quality and internationalized university-running. She pointed out that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. The two countries have a good history of humanities education and cooperation. She hoped that the two universities would take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in joint talent cultivation, exchange and mutual visits of teachers and students, and artistic and scientific research. Stefano Mosena introduced the basic situation and professional characteristics of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia, and looked forward to promoting the in-depth integration of Chinese and Italian art and culture with our university through various forms of foreign exchanges. Li Xueshan, the dean of the College of Fine Arts and Design, introduced the basic situation of the College of Fine Arts and Design. The participants had exchanges and discussions on jointly holding art exhibitions, carrying out scientific research activities, holding art exhibitions, sustainable art design, etc.
Subsequently, Stefano Mosena and his party visited the university history museum, as well as the Motion Capture and Image Generation Laboratory, Ceramic Design Laboratory, Digital Model Making Laboratory and Model Making Laboratory of the College of Fine Arts and Design. Stefano Mosena gave a lecture titled "Tracing the Renaissance: An Artistic Dialogue with Masters from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia, Italy" to the teachers and students of our university. During the lecture, Professor Stefano Mosena introduced in detail the historical relationships and development context among painting, printing and images. He also commented on the works of students majoring in industrial design, visual communication and other fields on the spot, and highly praised the achievements our university has made in cultivating art and design talents.
