Release time:2025-06-11 19:50:49stamp
From June 9th to 10th, the first "Chinese Vocal Music Internationalization Series of Activities", hosted by our university, jointly organized by Leda International Art College and Shenzhen Finch Culture and Art Exchange Co., Ltd., was successfully held at Leda International Art College. The activities include the "Internationalization of Chinese Vocal Music" roundtable conference, the Cao Xiumei International Vocal Master Class, and the first "Cao Xiumei International Vocal Competition" award-winning contestants' concert (Shijiazhuang station).
On June 9th, the round-table conference on "Internationalization of Chinese Vocal Music" was opened. "Asia's first coloratura soprano", world-class soprano Cao Xiumei, distinguished professor of the People's Liberation Army Academy of Arts, famous tenor Chao Haojian, famous tenor Du Jigangand, experts and scholars from our university, Jilin University, Hebei Normal University, Hebei University, Sichuan Conservatory of Music and many other well-known domestic colleges and universities gathered together to carry out in-depth discussions on topics such as "exploration of the internationalization path of Chinese vocal music", "cultural expression of vocal art in international communication", and "how to cultivate vocal talents with international vision". Experts expressed their opinions and shared valuable experiences and cutting-edge perspectives from multiple dimensions such as theoretical research, practical innovation, and teaching reform. Hao Zhiming, Dean of Leda International Academy of Arts, stated that Chinese vocal music should be based on traditional cultural foundations, extract distinctive elements of national vocal music, and spread through modern and international artistic expressions, so that the world can better understand and appreciate the beauty of Chinese vocal music. Chao Haojian pointed out that Chinese vocal workers should have cultural confidence, and universities should cultivate "bridge type" talents who can both interpret Western classics and perfectly interpret Chinese works. Cao Xiumei highly praised the rapid development of Chinese vocal music and encouraged Asian singers to maintain sincerity and enthusiasm for art, actively participate in international vocal academic exchanges and cooperation activities, and promote the integration of Chinese vocal music with the international vocal education system. The holding of this round-table conference not only consolidates profession consensus, but also points out the direction for the international development of Chinese vocal music.
During the activities, the Cao Xiumei International Vocal Master Class has officially started. Professor Cao Xiumei, with her rich singing experience and profound professional competence, has brought a series of informative vocal courses to students from all over the country. In the master class, Professor Cao provided one-on-one guidance for the students' singing, providing detailed analysis and precise guidance on vocal techniques, emotional expression, stage performance, and other aspects, which greatly benefited the students.
On the evening of the 10th, the first stop of the Asia tour of the "First Cao Xiumei International Vocal Competition" award-winning contestants' concert was grandly held at our unjiversity's Shangwen Hall. Cao Xiumei, together with award-winning contestants from China, South Korea, and France, performed multiple Western operas and Chinese and foreign art songs. The superb singing skills and full emotions of Chinese and foreign artists brought an international audio-visual feast to the live audience. Their tacit cooperation and wonderful performances won the audience's prolonged applause. At the end of the concert, Cao Xiumei and the contestants sang the art song Farewell in Chinese, triggering a chorus throughout the venue and pushing the atmosphere of the concert to a climax.
During the activities, Cao Xiumei also gained a detailed understanding of our university's joint education model to jointly build Leda International Art College, and highly recognized the educational achievements and professional level of teachers and students.
The holding of this event is an active exploration and practice by our university in promoting the internationalization of Chinese vocal music, and it is also a specific measure for our university to assist in the cultural construction of provincial capital. The organization of the event not only brings a world-class cultural performance to teachers and students, but also provides a good platform for exchange and cooperation in the field of vocal music between China and foreign countries. It plays a positive role in cultivating vocal talents with international perspectives and enhancing the international influence of Chinese vocal music.
