Professor Yao Qingguo from the School of Chemical Engineering/Biomedicine and the Geography Science teaching team led by Professor Sun Zhongwei from the School of Geographical Sciences and Environmental Studies have earned 2025 Hebei Provincial Teaching Excellence Awards.

Prof. Yao Qingguo – AwardedProvincial-Level Teaching Master

He has actively aligned his work with Shijiazhuang’s multi-billion-yuan biomedical industry cluster and the university’s “1396” development strategy. His achievements include leading the successful application for the National First-Class Undergraduate Bioengineering Program, directing provincial-level teaching teams and applied transformation model programs, developing a provincial-level quality online course, publishing extensively, and securing multiple patents and industry standards. He has also received several municipal honors.

Prof. Sun Zhongwei’ s Team – Named Provincial-Level Excellent Teaching Team

The team has integrated teaching with research and socio-economic development, constantly updated content and methods, and emphasized practical training. They have led numerous provincial and national teaching reform and research projects (including NSFC grants), developed provincial-level quality and ideological-political demonstration courses, and published widely. Focusing on student development, they have integrated ideological education and innovation training, guiding students to win over 60 provincial and national competition awards.

These accolades reflect the SJZU’s commitment to faculty development. The university will continue strengthening its teaching teams to contribute to high-quality higher education and the development of Hebei Province.
