On July 30, the Hebei Provincial Trials of the 3rd National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end in Shijiazhuang. Jie Shaolong, a teacher from the School of Economics and Management of our university, won the silver award in the innovation group with his project "Intelligent Identification of Micro-deformations on the Rail Surface of High-speed Railways in Seasonally Frozen Areas and Optimization of the Spatial Layout of Measuring Point Accuracy". The research team will represent Hebei Province in the national finals hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee.

This Hebei Provincial Trials was jointly hosted by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hebei Province, the Department of Education of Hebei Province, the Department of Science and Technology of Hebei Province, and the Department of Finance of Hebei Province. 184 postdoctoral research teams from universities, research institutes, and enterprises with postdoctoral stations in the province competed on the same stage. In the end, 2 gold-award projects, 6 silver-award projects, and 15 bronze-award projects were selected.

In recent years, the university has attached great importance to the cultivation of young teachers. It has given policy preferences to young teachers with postdoctoral research experience in scientific research breakthroughs. This award fully demonstrates the university's scientific research strength and talent advantages in the field of intelligent operation and maintenance of transportation engineering. The research team will continue to optimize its technical approach, strive to achieve better results in the national finals, and contribute "SJZU wisdom" to the construction of a transportation-powerful country!
