On July 27, a 15-member delegation from the German-Chinese Association for Cultural and Economic Exchange visited our university for exchanges. Vice President Gao Jinguang of the Hebei Association for International Exchange Promotion and University President Wang Yongqin attended the symposium. The meeting was also joined by heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center, the School of Chemical Engineering/Biopharmaceuticals, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Teacher Education, as well as faculty representatives.
President Wang Yongqin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and presented an overview of the university's development trajectory, academic infrastructure, faculty profile, talent cultivation achievements, and international exchange initiatives. She underscored the institution's commitment to educational quality, highlighting the full integration of digitalization into teaching methodologies, talent development programs, and industry-academia collaboration. President Wang proposed enhanced cooperation with German partners in digital pedagogy, student development, professional training, joint education programs, and cultural-artistic exchanges. In response, Dr. Manfred Florian Welker (Officiating Committee Member of the German-Chinese Association), Zourob Abdalmeneim (Chairman of German Modern Pharmaceutical Logistics Group), and Prof. Dr. Buerkle Natalya Pavlivna (Board Member of Heidelberg University Medical School) expressed gratitude for the hospitality. They conveyed intentions to pursue multidimensional collaboration in artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and preschool education sectors.
This exchange visit constitutes a concrete follow-up to the German-Hungarian delegation's earlier mission, while laying solid foundations for our university's collaboration with German cultural and economic sectors. Capitalizing on this momentum, we will intensify communication channels, proactively explore Sino-German cooperation avenues, advance high-caliber international education programs with German institutions, and jointly foster mutual understanding through people-to-people exchanges.
