Recently, the results of the provincial-level selection of excellent short video works for "Telling Chinese Stories in Foreign Languages" by college students in the 2025 "Higher Education Society Cup" have been announced. The two student teams from School of Foreign Languages performed outstandingly and stood out in the fierce competition of the provincial competition, winning the Hebei Provincial Special Award and First Prize respectively, bringing honor to the school.

This competition is jointly organized by the Education Department of Hebei Province, the Guidance Committee for Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Education Institutions of Hebei Province, the Research Association for Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Education Institutions of Hebei Province, and the Higher Education Press. The theme of the competition is "New Era, New Changes - The Tide of the Times, Extraordinary Youth", aiming to encourage college students to tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture in foreign languages. The event has attracted numerous universities in the province to actively participate, with diverse and rich themes covering various fields such as cultural heritage and the development of the times. It fully demonstrates the attention and thinking of contemporary college students towards national development.

Among numerous excellent works, the work "Resplendent Moments, Youth in Motion" created by the team of Yang Qinya, Yang Xiangyi, and Yin Yu under the guidance of teachers Zhao Nannan and Jia Ning, showcases the vibrant vitality and sense of responsibility of contemporary Chinese youth through vivid camera language and fluent foreign language narration. It has won the special prize of Hebei Province and will represent Hebei Province in the national excellent work selection activity. Under the guidance of teachers Wang Zhe and Li Yan, the work "Ten Thousand Family Lamp Genealogy" created by the team of Chen Zhong, Li Wanlu, Su Huaiying, Feng Xudong, and Niu Chengzi presents the perfect integration of traditional culture and modern life from a unique perspective, telling the story of cultural inheritance in people's lives with warm visual language. It won the first prize in Hebei Province.

The School of Foreign Languages attaches great importance to this competition, fully leveraging its professional advantages and forming a guidance team composed of senior teachers to provide comprehensive guidance from topic selection, script creation to filming and production, ensuring that the works have both intellectual depth and artistic appeal. The achievement of this outstanding result not only fully affirms the quality of foreign language teaching and talent cultivation in our school, but also demonstrates the solid professional competence and profound patriotism of our students.
