On the morning of September 20th, a delegation of 16 people from the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited our university. Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Ji Lihuai, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. The heads and senior teachers from the International Exchange and Cooperation Center, the School of Literature and History, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Music, and the Nule International College participated in the meeting and discussion.
Ji Lihuai warmly welcomes the visit of Matkarimov Jakhongir Shamuratovich, Director of the Tourism Education Development Department of the Tourism Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and his delegation. He first expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders, experts and professors from the visiting states and cities of the Republic of Uzbekistan and from the “Silk Road” International Tourism and Cultural Heritage University who have paid attention to and supported our international exchanges. He hoped that this exchange would be an opportunity to jointly explore a new path for international cooperation along the “the Belt and Road”, improve the new pattern of running university openly, and promote the international development of the university to a new level.
Matkarimov Jakhongir Shamuratovich and his delegation also visited our university's history museum, regional culture museum, converged media center, teaching and research facilities, and paid a visit to overseas students from Uzbekistan. They highly praised the high-quality development of our university’s international student education and the beautiful campus environment, and expressed gratitude for our warm reception. He briefly introduced the basic situation of the Silk Road International Tourism and Cultural Heritage University associated with the delegation’s visiting tasks, and expressed his willingness to carry out projects with our university in the fields of international student training, teacher-student exchanges, tourism management talent cultivation, cultural exchange and cooperation.
This exchange visit is an important practice for our university to actively respond to the “the Belt and Road” cultural and tourism exchange initiative, and it is also a practice for our university to help build a modern, international and beautiful provincial capital city. Next, our university will continue to actively cooperate with the government to build a bridge for China-Ukrainian cultural and tourism cooperation, expand the Central Asian inbound tourism market, and showcase Shijiazhuang’s cultural and tourism attractions and industrial capability through the university’s international affairs work and teaching & research work, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of local cultural and tourism brand projects.
