On September 21, the results of the national finals of the 9th National Young Teachers' Teaching Competition for Electronic Information Majors in Higher Education, organized by the National Teaching Advisory Committee for Electronic Information Majors in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, were announced. Our university's teachers achieved outstanding results. Ms. Gao Yanyan, a young teacher from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, won the national first prize for teaching on the core course “Digital Signal Processing” for the Communication Engineering major. Teachers Gao Weikun, Li Qian, and Wang Tian each won a national third prize. Additionally, our university was awarded the Excellent Organization Award for the competition.
The National Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition for Electronic Information Majors in Higher Education is jointly organized by the National Teaching Advisory Committee for Electronic Information Majors in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and the Education and Examination Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Having been successfully held nine times so far, it is a high-level teaching competition with significant influence and exemplary value in the domestic electronic information field. This competition attracted 696 teachers from 197 universities across 28 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. Among them, 273 teachers advanced to the national finals, ultimately competing for the Huasheng Jingshi Cup (1 winner), 57 first prizes, 85 second prizes, and 131 third prizes.
Our university attached great importance to the competition. Since its launch in March 2025, under the guidance of the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering fully leveraged its disciplinary strengths and invited external experts to provide specialized guidance. The participants refined their teaching through multiple dimensions, including on-site teaching content, teaching organization and design, application of teaching methods, integration of micro-lectures with teaching content, demonstration of teaching artistry, teaching characteristics and effectiveness, and the standardization of lesson plans and syllabi. In the North China regional preliminary contests, our teachers won one first prize, three second prizes, and two third prizes.
These awards fully demonstrate the personal teaching capabilities and professional competence of our university’s young teachers. They also represent a vivid practice of advancing the construction of the teaching faculty echelon and deepening teaching reform under the guidance of the university’s “1396” Development Strategy. Seizing this opportunity, the university will continue to deepen educational reforms, accelerate the construction of the “Electronic Information+” course cluster and the teaching ability enhancement plan for young faculty, and strive to create more high-level, innovative, and challenging “gold courses”. This will inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the university and contribute to cultivating outstanding talents who will lead the future development of the electronic information industry.
