From November 22nd to 23rd, our school and the Hebei Psychological Counselors Association jointly hosted the “Sixth Conference on the Development of Social Psychological Services in the New Era” in Shijiazhuang. With the theme of “Four-in-One of Family, School, Community and Medical Care, Dual-track Integration of Professional Development—Building a New Ecosystem for Social Psychological Services”, over 300 people from the field of social psychological services at home and abroad, such as experts, scholars, practitioners, managers, families, and representatives from our school attended the conference in person, while the live stream reached over 150,000 people. Together, they embarked on a profound exploration of the systematization, localization, and collaboration of social psychological services.

At the opening ceremony, Principal Wang Yongqin attended and presented honorary professorship certificates to outstanding experts in the industry including Liu Songhuai, Fu Chunsheng, Liu Wei, Li Tonggui, Ding Qinzhang, etc. Vice Principal Feng Baoqiang, Professor and doctoral supervisor Yang Fengchi from Capital Medical University, and Chairman of the Hebei Province Psychological Counseling Association Liu Wei respectively delivered speeches at the conference.

This conference brought together 16 top experts from both domestic and international fields, including Yang Fengchi, Liu Songhuai, Han Buxin, Shi Zhanbiao, Liu Wei, Fu Chunsheng, Li Tonggui, Xi Yingjun, and Li Haining. The conference covered areas such as academic frontiers, industrial practice, and local innovation. Through keynote speeches and workshops, it promoted in-depth dialogue between theory and practice. In the conference report session, Zhang Bo, an associate professor of the major of Applied Psychology and the secretary-general of the Hebei Province Psychological Counseling Association, delivered a report titled Problems and Happiness: The Way of Social Psychological Services. Li Ye, the director of Teaching and Research Office of the Applied Psychology, shared Exploration and Practice of the Development Path of Applied Psychology Major from the Perspective of Social Psychological Services.

The conference is an important measure for our school to implement the Outline for Building a Leading Country in Education (2024-2035) and the Special Action Plan for Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving Students’ Mental Health Work in the New Era (2023-2025). It has further contributed the strength of Shijiazhuang University to further leverage the professional advantages of Applied Psychology, actively promote the innovation and development of social psychological services, and enhance mental health for the whole population.
