On December 26, our university held the Launch Ceremony of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Institute. Vice President Li Juan attended the ceremony, along with representatives from nine co-founding enterprises including Li Gang, Vice President of QingRuan Innovation Technology Group Co., Ltd., as well as the leadership team, teaching and research section directors of the School of Future Information Technology.
In her speech, Li Juan pointed out that the university attaches great importance to the construction of industry institutes, takes the initiative to adjust the disciplinary layout, deepen the integration of industry and education, and actively build a new mechanism for school-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation. She required that the Artificial Intelligence Industry Institute should improve the cooperation framework, establish a stable and efficient operation mechanism, optimize the governance mode of the “School-Enterprise Collaborative Council”, expand school-enterprise cooperation channels, and form a sustainable cooperation ecosystem featuring “joint project responsibility, co-cultivated talents and shared achievements”. It should focus on talent cultivation, give full play to the advantages of both universities and enterprises, jointly build curriculum systems, develop teaching contents and implement practical training, create a competence-oriented and project-driven talent training mode, and realize the close alignment between talent cultivation and industrial demands. It should also focus on industrial needs, closely focus on the development strategies and industrial layouts of the province and city, and enhance the capacity of serving local development.
At the meeting, the first session of the Council reviewed and approved the relevant matters. The attending directors conducted in-depth discussions and put forward constructive suggestions on the development goals, talent training mode, industry-education integration mechanism, scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation paths of the Industry Institute.
