Teachers and students from our university performed remarkably at the 19th “Challenge Cup” National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition, winning one National First Prize and two National Third Prizes. This marks the highest number of national awards our university has ever received since participating in the competition, and also represents the first time we have earned an honor in a specialized category, achieving two historic breakthroughs.
This competition attracted participation from more than 2,700 universities nationwide, over 3 million students, and more than 400,000 submitted projects. Our university attached great importance to the organization, preparation, and participation in this year’s “Challenge Cup” competition, establishing a comprehensive cultivation and support system while extensively exploring high-quality project resources. Through nearly three years of exploration and practice, our university has gradually built a tiered, multi-round selection system, providing strong support for the participating projects to achieve high-quality performance.
This competition was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the All-China Students’ Federation, and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province. On November 3, the final round of judging for the “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition was held at Nanjing University.
