Recently, the final of the 2025 “Hebei Bank Cup” Provincial College Students’ Financial Technology Innovation Competition was held in the No. 3 studio of Shijiazhuang Radio and Television Station. The “Smart Irrigation Pioneer Team”, composed of Bu Jiameng, Yuan Mengfan and Wang Yiman, students of the 2023 Financial Engineering major from the School of Economics and Management of our university, won the third prize in Group B with their work “Smart Painting of Rural Areas: A New Model of ‘Precise Drip Irrigation’ in Rural Finance Based on Digital Portraits-Data-Driven Precise Financial Policy Implementation Plan”. Meanwhile, our university was awarded the title of Outstanding Organization.

Since the launch of the competition, our university has attached great importance to it and formed a professional guidance team to provide full support throughout the process, helping the participating students precisely refine their works. During the competition, Vice Principal Li Juan came to the scene to offer guidance and cheer for them. The vice dean of the School of Economics and Management and the professional instructors accompanied the team to watch the competition and provided all-round support for the team.

This competition was hosted by Hebei Province Department of Education, organized by Hebei University of Economics and Trade, and supported by Hebei Bank Co., LTD. With the core theme of “Digital and Intelligent Finance, Looking Forward to the Future”, it attracted 3,760 teachers and students from 40 universities across the province to participate, forming 1,249 teams and submitting 809 entries. In addition, this competition was officially approved to be included in the list of discipline competitions for ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities in Hebei Province by Hebei Province Department of Education in April 2025.
