On January 4, our university held a forum for non-Party personages. Chen Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Wang Yongqin, President, and Ji Lihuai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the event. Members of the leading group of the United Front Work Department, relevant persons in charge of drafting the university’s 15th Five-Year Plan, representatives of various democratic parties, non-Party personages, and directors of the Intellectual Association participated in the forum. The forum was presided over by Ji Lihuai.

 

Wang Yongqin reported on the university’s development in 2025. She comprehensively and objectively summarized achievements made under the guidance of the "1396" development strategy across eight dimensions: Party building guidance, internal quality development, faculty team building, talent cultivation quality, integration of industry, teaching, research, and application, opening up to the outside world, and the upgrading and transformation of conditions and support. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to non-Party personages for fulfilling their duties, devoting themselves to the university’s development initiatives, and offering valuable suggestions.

The forum was characterized by a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Representatives of non-Party personages, based on their professional backgrounds and job positions, spoke freely and expressed their views fully on the university’s development and the formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, offering suggestions and recommendations.

Chen Liang listened attentively to each representative’s remarks. On behalf of the university’s Party Committee, he expressed gratitude to everyone for their diligent work and active efforts over the past year, and put forward four expectations for advancing the university’s united front work: first, remain committed to the fundamental mission of nurturing talent, and strive to be “great educators” in fostering virtue and character; second, bravely scale the heights of scientific research, and strive to be “pioneers” in innovative development; third, focus on the overall development of the university, and strive to be a “think tank” for its growth; fourth, strengthen self-development, and strive to be “fellow travelers” in building a “progressive Shijiazhuang University”.

The participants stated that this forum fully reflected the great importance and sincere care attached by the University Party Committee to united front work and non-Party teachers. They pledged that in their future work, they would remain united in conviction and purpose with the University Party Committee, take the initiative to shoulder responsibilities, and contribute the wisdom and strength of non-Party personages to opening a new chapter in the university’s “second-phase development drive”.
