On the morning of January 8, our university held the first plenary meeting of the Academic Committee for 2026. President Wang Yongqin and Vice President Feng Baoqiang attended the meeting and delivered speeches, while members of the university’s Academic Committee and relevant personnel from the Research Office participated in the meeting.

 

At the meeting, Wang Yongqin emphasized that the university’s scientific research achievements in 2025 were remarkable, with a rapid increase in high-level research projects and outcomes, marking a successful conclusion to the 14th Five-Year Plan and laying a foundation for the high-quality development of the 15th Five-Year Plan. In the face of new developments and tasks in higher education for the new era, it is essential to further enhance a sense of urgency, step beyond Hebei to assess the university’s development, and focus on the core tasks of discipline advancement and social service capacity improvement. Practical, effective, and decisive measures must be taken to steadily elevate the university’s research quality. She urged academic committee members not only to excel in their respective research fields but also to take the lead in academic team building, striving to achieve more influential and landmark results. Additionally, they should actively participate in academic management with a sense of ownership, closely monitor major reforms and developments at the university, and contribute ideas to promote the flourishing advancement of the institution.

Feng Baoqiang stated that the university is in a period of development and growth, and he hopes that the academic committee will elevate their perspective, fulfill their duties with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, fully leverage their academic leadership role, and provide suggestions to promote the standardized and scientific development of the university’s research work, thereby contributing to further advancing the university’s connotative development.

At the meeting, Director Feng Hong of the Research Office reported on the 2025 research work. All committee members discussed the three management regulations: “Shijiazhuang University Research Project Management Measures”, “Shijiazhuang University Vertical Research Funding Management Measures” and “Shijiazhuang University Horizontal Research Funding Management Measures”, and proposed a series of targeted and actionable revision suggestions, providing strong support for the scientific rigor, compliance, and practicality of the regulations.
