Italian Government Delegation Visits SJZU for Exchange

On the afternoon of January 23, a delegation led by Mariano Angelucci, Chairman of the Rome Committee for Culture, Fashion and Tourism and Chairman of the Rome Committee for International Relations, visited our university. The delegation was received by Chen Liang, Party Secretary; Wang Yongqin, President; and Ji Lihuai, Deputy Party Secretary.
At a symposium, Chen Liang extended a warm welcome and outlined the university’s history, academic structure, teaching strengths, and achievements in international education. He emphasized the university’s commitment to open development and expressed hope that the visit would expand cooperation with Italy’s higher education, culture, and arts sectors, providing broader global exchange opportunities for faculty and students.
Angelucci thanked the university for its hospitality and praised its accomplishments in internationalization and arts education. He introduced current trends and opportunities in Italy’s higher education and cultural sectors, and pledged to facilitate connections between Italian institutions and the university, exploring substantive collaboration in fine arts, design, and related fields.
The two sides held indepth discussions on prospects for China–Italy arts education cooperation, faculty and student exchanges, and talent cultivation. Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Leda International School of the Arts, learning about its teaching environment, development history, operational model, faculty development, and educational outcomes.
Officials from the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation, the Leda International School of the Arts, and the School of Fine Arts and Design attended the symposium.
