Recently, the selection results of the “Excellent Cases in Artificial Intelligence General Education,” initiated by the association of fundamental computing education in Chinese universities, were announced in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The teaching case titled Comprehensive Practice of Artificial Intelligence Applications—Taking the Scoring Tool for Entries in the “Miaoda Cup” Artificial Intelligence General Application Competition as an Example, submitted by the team led by Professor Fu Yunfang from the School of Future Information Technology at our university, was successfully selected. The team was also invited to share the case on-site at the AIGE 2026 Artificial Intelligence General Education Conference.
This case collection initiative was carried out among universities nationwide, with a total of 60 outstanding cases selected. It aims to promote the development of artificial intelligence general education courses and enhance teaching quality. The case submitted by our university uses the scoring tool for entries in the “Miaoda Cup” Artificial Intelligence General Application Competition as a practical vehicle, systematically demonstrating the innovative application of artificial intelligence technology in teaching evaluation. It reflects the forward-thinking design, practicality, and promotional value of the teaching approach, highlighting the university’s solid exploration in artificial intelligence general education and the phased achievements in cultivating high-quality interdisciplinary talent.
During the case-sharing session at the conference, Professor Fu Yunfang elaborated on the design philosophy, implementation approach, and application scenarios of the case, as well as the outstanding achievements made by the student team in related competitions. She also engaged in in-depth discussions with attending teachers on feasible pathways for the deep integration of artificial intelligence and general education, which received widespread acclaim.
Our university has been actively advancing interdisciplinary teaching reforms and promoting the digital transformation of education. In the fall of 2025, we introduced an artificial intelligence general education course for all majors across our university, aiming to cultivate students’ interdisciplinary integration capabilities and innovative practical competencies.
