Principal Wang Yongqin Led a Team to Visit and Console the Staff Who Worked Overtime During the Winter Vacation and Supervise Key Tasks

On February 3rd, President Wang Yongqin and Vice President Li Juan led the head of the Academic Affairs Office to visit the Organization Department, Finance Department, Network Information Center and other functional departments, as well as the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering, and School of Future Information Technology. Through on-site inspections of classroom renovation progress, consoling the staff who remained at their posts during the winter vacation, and holding symposiums to supervise key tasks, they comprehensively understood the progress of work in each college and department during the winter vacation, and focused on supervising the implementation of the school's key tasks for the year.
In the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the School of Chemical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering, President Wang Yongqin particularly supervised the progress of the engineering education accreditation for the Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, and Bioengineering programs. She highly affirmed the previous achievements and emphasized that this is an important measure for improving the quality of professional construction and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation. She encouraged the staff to unite their efforts and strive for excellence in the preparations. At the School of Future Information Technology, she listened to the report on the application for the National Natural Science Foundation project, inquired in detail about the progress and difficulties of the project, and highly praised the dedication of the teachers in scientific research and their spirit of tackling difficulties. She pointed out that the application for the project is a key measure to strengthen the school's scientific research innovation capabilities and enhance the core influence of disciplines. She required the staff to base on the professional characteristics and disciplinary advantages, closely follow the national strategic needs and disciplinary frontiers, improve the project design, and highlight the application points to strive for new breakthroughs.
President Wang Yongqin expressed her highest respect to all the staff who remained at their posts during the winter vacation on behalf of the school.
