Recently, the Organization Department of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Youth League Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee jointly held the 13th Shijiazhuang Young Core Talents Symposium. Zhang Chenwei, a teacher from the Department of Agriculture and Food Science at our school, has been awarded the title of Shijiazhuang Young Core Talent.
This selection of Shijiazhuang Young Core Talents focuses on individuals who have made significant contributions in various disciplines, fields, and industries of our city’s economic and social development, particularly in the five major pillar industries: biopharmaceuticals, next-generation electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, modern food, and modern commercial logistics. It also includes professional technical staff working in Party and government agencies, aiming to inspire young talents to uphold ideals and convictions, take on responsibilities, hone their skills, and actively engage in practical endeavors.
Zhang Chenwei is a faculty member in the Department of Agronomy, specializing in Agricultural and Food Science. He is dedicated to research and teaching in plant stress physiology and molecular biology. He has led the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Youth Science Fund project and successfully completed a Hebei Provincial Natural Science Foundation project. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published seven SCI papers and two core journal articles.
