To thoroughly study the important expositions of Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, fully implement the spirit of the plenary (expanded) meeting of the University Party Committee, further refine tasks, clarify measures and consolidate responsibilities, and promote the implementation of various tasks with the spirit of hammering a nail until it is driven home, SJZU convened a training session for middle-level cadres and the 2026 Annual Work Deployment Meeting on March 6 and 7. All school leaders and middle-level cadres attended it.

Chen Liang, Secretary of the University Party Committee, delivered a concluding speech. He emphasized that first, we should bear the bigger picture in mind and set the right direction for work by aligning with the benchmarks and requirements. We should further enhance the spirit of historical initiative, firmly grasp the overall trend of the school’s sound and upward development, be of one heart in ideology, one direction in goals and one step in actions, and ensure that all work stays on the right track. Second, we should boost our spirits and stimulate the driving force for progress by uniting all efforts. We should continue to maintain the vibrant spirit of forging ahead with full momentum in work and entrepreneurship,continuously consolidate and expand the sound atmosphere of unity, harmony, upright conduct and strong motivation, and gather the strong positive energy of the whole school to overcome difficulties and forge ahead. Third, we should focus on implementation and hand in an excellent answer through down-to-earth work. In accordance with the various goals and tasks defined in the annual work priorities, we should keep a close eye on them and see them through to the end, check off items one by one and implement closed-loop management with the spirit of hammering a nail until it is driven home, and ensure that every piece of work is fully implemented and achieves tangible results. Fourth, we should lead by example and guide subordinates, and demonstrate the courage to take on responsibilities through exemplary actions. Leading cadres should give full play to the “leading goose effect”, set an example, stand firm and take on responsibilities bravely, with each level leading the next in action and setting an example for the next. We should interpret the political character of loyalty, integrity and responsibility with solid work and tangible achievements.

Wang Yongqin, President of the school, made specific arrangements for the school's annual work . She required that first, we should consolidate the foundation of Party building, firmly build the “bridgehead” for undertaking work and entrepreneurship, and safeguard the high-quality development of the school’s cause with high-quality Party building. Second, we should strengthen political guidance, firmly hold the “steering wheel” of cultivating virtues and talents, and vigorously cultivate new people of the times who are well-developed morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically and laboriously. Third, we should focus on core elements, fully implement a “combination of measures” for talent cultivation, and raise the level of education and teaching. Fourth, we should pool efforts to tackle key scientific research problems, strive to build a source of innovation drivers, and promote the quality and efficiency of scientific research work. Fifth, we should root the school’s development in the provincial capital, accurately create a “golden name card” for serving the local area, and deeply integrate into the main battlefield of local economic and social development. Sixth, we should deepen the open school-running model, actively expand the international “circle of friends”, and create new advantages in international school running. Seventh, we should firmly anchor the goal of applying for the master's degree-granting qualification, resolutely win the tough battle for the upgrade of the school’s running level, and enhance the comprehensive strength of the school in running education. Eighth, we should optimize the effectiveness of school governance, fully stimulate the new vitality of school operation and governance, and advance the modernization of the school’s governance system and capacity.

At the training session, Professor Zhen Zhen, Deputy Director of the Party Building Teaching and Research Department of the Party School of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee (Hebei Academy of Governance), gave a special lecture on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements. She deeply interpreted General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and systematically expounded the theoretical logic and practical requirements of a correct view of political achievements from three aspects: connotation, basic characteristics and implementation approaches. Her lecture provided useful guidance for the school to carry out learning and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements and promote high-quality development.
