Recently, Deputy Principal Feng Baoqiang, accompanied by relevant personnel from the Armed Forces Department, visited the Shijiazhuang City Militia Training Base to extend greetings and encouragement to all the recruits, boosting morale for the students of Shiyuan University as they prepared to set off.
At the symposium, Feng Baoqiang, on behalf of the school, extended warm congratulations to the 12 pre-enlisted new recruits. He pointed out that joining the military is a glorious choice for young students in the new era, as well as a responsible commitment to the mission of strengthening the nation and the military. He encouraged them to uphold the spirit of enduring hardship and fatigue after joining the military, to temper their will and cultivate their character, to quickly complete the role transformation from college students to soldiers, and to grow into qualified soldiers with soul, ability, fighting spirit and virtue as soon as possible, honing their skills and realizing their life value in the military.
After the meeting, the school presented the students with carefully prepared care packages, delivering its care and expectations to their hearts. “We will keep in mind our alma mater’s trust and dedicate ourselves to national defense with the spirit of ‘Self-improvement, Pragmatism, and Responsibility’ embodied by the SJZU community. We will contribute to the military flag and bring honor to our university through our actions.” said Sun Wenzhang, a student majoring in Software Engineering at the Future Information Technology College.
Twelve new recruits from seven colleges including the College of Chemical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering and the College of Physical Education will set off for the military camp today to start their military careers.
