Recently, the Education Department of Hebei Province announced the winners of six provincial foreign language competitions for 2025, including the "Century Star", "FLTRP·Guocai Cup", and "Understanding Contemporary China" college students' foreign language ability contests. Our school's Foreign Language College faculty team won one first prize, four second prizes, and one third prize; students secured a total of eight gold awards, eleven silver awards, and seven bronze awards, advancing to the national finals in all three contests they participated in, marking the best record since the competition began. Additionally, our school was awarded the Excellent Organization Prize.
Compared to 2024, our school has not only increased the number of awards by 6, but also significantly improved the overall quality of awards. This excellent result marks a historic breakthrough in our school's overall performance since it first achieved full coverage of provincial-level foreign language special discipline competition awards in 2024, fully demonstrating our school's comprehensive strength in competition organization and foreign language discipline construction.
In recent years, the School of Foreign Languages has been continuously building a progressive foreign language competition system which is "based on school competitions, centered around provincial competitions, and guided by national competitions". It has further promoted the teaching mode of "promoting teaching and learning through competitions" and fully leveraged the motivating role of various competitions in talent cultivation. By actively organizing teachers and students to participate in professional competitions at all levels, the school has created a strong atmosphere of "competition-based education", making the foreign language proficiency competition not only an important platform for teachers and students to showcase their talents and pursue their dreams, but also a beautiful exhibition stand for implementing educational and teaching reforms and transforming competition achievements into educational outcomes.
