“Hebei International Joint Research Center for Biopharmaceuticals” was recognized as a provincial international science and technology cooperation base by Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology in January 2022.

The Research Center will, in accordance with the spirit of the Several Measures to Support the First Breakthroughs in the New Generation Electronic Information Industry and Biomedical Industry (Trial) issued by the Office of the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang Municipality and the Municipal Government Office, mainly rely on the chemical pharmaceutical cluster of Shijiazhuang University, make full use of the microbial application technology laboratory and other R&D institutions jointly built with universities such as Woosuk University, South Korea, and carry out international joint research and achievement transformation with Chinese and foreign universities and pharmaceutical enterprises in the fields of microbial pharmaceutical, natural drug extraction, development and application of genetically engineered bacteria, etc. At the same time, the Research Center will accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into biopharmaceutical enterprises, improve the fermentation level and drug quality for enterprises, and make due contributions to the construction of Shijiazhuang as the “Pharmaceutical Capital of China”.

At present, the Research Center has completed preliminary research and development in the aspects of one-step enzymatic NMN green synthesis technology, enzymatic ascorbic acid 2-glucoside (AA2G) green synthesis technology, key production technology of immunosuppressant tacrolimus API, transformation of Streptomyces biosynthesis pathway, and creation of lactic acid bacteria oral vaccine for anti-Escherichia coli enteromycin feed based on gene editing, etc.
