On June 11th, the finals of the 7th Theoretical Publicity and Lecturing Competition in Shijiazhuang City concluded successfully. Our school’s Ecological Civilization Publicity and Lecturing Team, comprised of two faculty members, Wang Jia and Liang Jingjing, along with three students, Zhao Miaomiao, Duan Yashuo, and Wang Zihan, distinguished themselves among numerous participating teams across the city and secured the first prize in the competition. This achievement was attributed to their solid theoretical foundation, innovative lecturing approach, and sincere and vivid live presentation.
Sponsored by the Municipal Academy of Social Sciences, the Municipal Party Committee Lecturer Group, and the Municipal Federation of Social Sciences, this competition aimed to disseminate the Party’s innovative theories in a manner that resonates with the public, ensuring their profound impact and widespread acceptance. Since its inception in early May, the School of Geographic Science and Environment has placed significant emphasis on the preparation process. Teachers and students collaborated to form teams, conducted multiple rehearsals, and provided comprehensive support ranging from topic selection and content refinement to logistical arrangements. The participating teams navigated through the rigorous preliminary and semi-final rounds, ultimately advancing to the finals.
At the finals, the team presented their work titled “From ‘Frequent Haze’ to ‘Persistent Clear Skies’: Shijiazhuang’s Response to Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.” The presentation adhered closely to the theme of ecological civilization construction, creatively integrating theoretical lectures with situational drama performances. Utilizing a wealth of detailed data, personal anecdotes, and vivid scenes, it vividly illustrated the remarkable improvement in air quality in Shijiazhuang over the past decade. The work comprehensively expounded on the city’s practical achievements and its contemporary answers in implementing the ideology of ecological civilization. The content was theoretically robust, the cases were vividly portrayed, and the emotions were genuinely conveyed. The performance was lively and engaging, earning unanimous acclaim from the judges and the audience present.
