Teachers and Students of Our University Stage Themed Literary Performance to Celebrate the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China at Air Force Shijiazhuang Flight Academy
On the evening of June 26, teachers and students from the School of Music of our university visited Air Force Shijiazhuang Flight Academy and jointly held the themed gala to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Chen Liang, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Li Juan, Vice President, attended the event. Leaders and officers and soldiers of the Flight Academy, as well as the leadership team and student representatives of the School of Music, watched the performance together. Both sides gathered here, boosted morale with performances and united together, jointly presenting a wonderful show.
The gala kicked off with the spectacular opening song and dance Glory of Flight performed by officers and soldiers of the Flight Academy. Teachers and students from the School of Music put on 14 wonderful programs covering diverse artistic forms including instrumental ensemble, scene drama, dance, solo vocal performance, instrumental solo, and song accompanied by dance. Teacher Shi Xiaoyuan delivered a tender and soulful rendition of Ode to Coral, guiding the audience to relive the faith and passion of revolutionary martyrs. Teacher Yang Fan and students jointly sang Boundless Land, a magnificent piece expressing profound admiration for the motherland’s magnificent rivers and mountains. Teacher Song Wei’s violin solo Stay True to Our Original Aspiration featured melodious and profound tunes, telling the enduring and unshakable faith. Teacher Guo Dong and the choir of the School of Music performed The Motherland Will Never Forget, paying tribute to unsung heroes who stick to their posts and dedicate themselves selflessly. Teacher Li Yeshi’s vocal performance Guide sincerely conveyed the unwavering loyalty of young people in the new era to the Party. Programs staged by the academy’s officers and soldiers such as Men Take to the Skies to Fly and Faith Above the Firmament also stood out for their grand momentum, embodying the firm conviction of the People’s Air Force to follow the Party’s command and win battles. The gala drew to a successful close with all participants singing in unison the stirring anthem Without the Communist Party of China, There Would Be No New China.
Centered on the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the CPC’s founding, this co-construction activity integrated red education and national defense education in depth. On stage, teachers and students revisited the Party’s history and paid homage to heroes and martyrs. Through on-site experience, they gained first-hand insight into military culture and the cause of building a strong military, receiving a vivid lesson in patriotism and national defense education. Going forward, our university will further deepen collaborative co-construction with Air Force Shijiazhuang Flight Academy. We will spread revolutionary spirit through art and unite people via culture to cultivate all-round socialist builders and successors.
