Our school has successfully been approved for two provincial-level pilot projects for the integrated development of educational science and technology talents
Recently, the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Provincial Department of Education, and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology jointly issued the “Notice on the Pilot Units for Integrated Development of Education, Science, and Technology Talents in Hebei Province”, announcing the first batch of pilot units for talent cultivation across the province. Our university, with its solid educational foundation and distinct characteristics of industry-education integration, was selected for both the “Digital and Intelligent Green Continuing Education Pilot” and the “New Model Pilot for Digital Technology Engineer Cultivation”, becoming the only university in Shijiazhuang City to be approved for two provincial-level pilots simultaneously.
The selection for this pilot project is conducted in accordance with the “Hebei Province Education, Science, and Technology Talent Integrated Development Pilot Work Plan for Talent Cultivation” . Only six pilot positions for digital, intelligent, and green continuing education and six pilot positions for digital technology engineer training are available in the first batch across the province. Being selected for this pilot project is a recognition of our school's efforts in serving the digital and green transformation of regional industries, and it will further promote the integration of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain.
As an application-oriented undergraduate institution rooted in the provincial capital, our university has deeply cultivated regional industrial services. We boast provincial-level colleges specializing in smart manufacturing and modern biopharmaceutical industries. We have taken the lead in establishing the Hebei Provincial Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Research Association and have collaborated with industry leaders such as Huawei, Yiling Pharmaceutical, and Junlebao to build a practical training platform for industry-education integration. Our solid training facilities, “double-qualified” teaching staff, and rich experience in corporate continuing education services have laid the foundation for the approval of two pilot projects.
For the pilot construction of continuing education focused on digital intelligence and greenification, the school will collaborate with enterprises to develop practical and free public required courses centered around smart manufacturing, energy conservation and carbon reduction, carbon asset management, and digital management. It will also offer advanced training courses for enterprise technical personnel and management personnel, adopting a combination of centralized teaching and on-site teaching to cultivate versatile talents. The school will upgrade its on-campus training venues, establish demonstration training bases at the municipal level and above, and strictly implement construction standards for annual training.
Relying on the pilot project of cultivating new models for digital technology engineers, the school will align with the new professional standards of the digital economy, promote standardized and graded training, deepen order-based joint cultivation between schools and enterprises, focus on promoting effective integration between academic education and vocational skill evaluation within the school, build an integrated pathway of “training-evaluation-employment”, and continuously cultivate high-quality digital technology talents suitable for fields such as big data, artificial intelligence, and industrial Internet.
The school will also take the lead in establishing a special working group, pay close attention to refining the implementation plan, proactively connect with local human resources and social security departments, industry and information technology departments, and industrial parks, implement various construction indicators, and strive to explore practical experience with our school’s characteristics in industry-education integration and talent cultivation, so as to better serve the provincial industrial transformation and upgrading.
