On June 24, the National College Youth Lecture Competition, themed "Wangdao Youth Voices: Discussing the 15th Five-Year Plan Together," held its finals in Guilin, Guangxi. Fourteen teams from universities across the country, including Beijing Normal University, Lanzhou University, Central China Normal University, and Guangxi Normal University, advanced to the finals to compete. Led by instructor Wei Ran, our university’s "Spark" Theoretical Lecture Team, composed of Zhang Luwen, Yang Wenwen, and Ma Haocheng, won the National Third Prize by innovatively combining a "situational skit with thematic lecture."
Co-hosted by the National College Youth Lecture Alliance and Guangxi Normal University, this competition aims to build a national platform for college youth to exchange theoretical ideas and promote the widespread dissemination of the Party's innovative theories through youth-oriented language. Since the launch of the event, the School of Marxism has attached great importance to preparation, assembling a team of professional teachers to provide comprehensive guidance on topic selection, manuscript polishing, case mining, and stage presentation.At the finals, the original lecture piece,Candlelight Reflects the Original Aspiration, Sparks Illuminate the Journey, vividly recreated real-life scenes of the "Candlelight & Spark" Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Team at Shijiazhuang University—a Hebei Provincial Teacher Team in the spirit of Huang Danian. The performance authentically portrayed the dedication of ideological and political teachers who stay rooted at the podium and nurture young students with sincere devotion. With its solid theoretical foundation and deeply moving situational performance, the piece struck a perfect balance between intellectual depth and emotional warmth, earning full recognition and high praise from the panel of expert judges.
Over the years, the School of Marxism has been deeply committed to building "comprehensive ideological and political courses" (Da Sizheng Ke). It has continuously strengthened the "Spark" lecture brand, innovated ideological education methods, and established a regular, integrated education platform that combines red heritage visits, grassroots practice, and theoretical lectures. Furthermore, the school has incorporated theoretical lectures into the second-classroom credit system in its talent development program, equipped professional faculty forwhole-processguidance, and continuously tapped into local resources in Shijiazhuang to promote youthful and tangible expressions of theoretical lectures. Looking ahead, the School of Marxism will continue to anchor its efforts in the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating people. It plans to enrich the practical teaching formats of "mobile ideological and political courses," continuously develop a series of practical lecture courses, and guide young students to use their own voices to tell the stories of the Party's innovative theories, contributing youthful strength to the construction of an education powerhouse and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
