Our University Achieves Another Outstanding Success in Hebei Division of the 18th National College Student Advertising Art Competition

Recently, the award listfor the 18th National College Student Advertising Art Competition (Hebei Division) were officially announced. Our university secured a total of 53 provincial-level awards, including 3 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 25 Third Prizes, and 21 Excellence Awards. In terms of the number of awards, our university ranked 4th among all undergraduate institutions in Hebei Province, followingYanshan University, Hebei Normal University, and Hebei University.
Since the launch of the competition, under the guidance of the Office of Academic Affairs,the School of Journalism and Communicationactively mobilized students and faculty across the campus to participate. A total of over 790 workswere submitted. During the university-level preliminary review, a combined approach of“blind review +panel evaluation” was adopted. Experts were first invited to conduct an anonymous initial screening, followed by a re-evaluation by five senior industry experts from the fields of advertising, marketing, media, and design. Ultimately, 104 outstanding works were selected and submitted to the provincial competition, of which53 stoodoutandwon provincial awards.
These remarkable achievements vividly reflect our university’s commitment to the philosophy of “promoting teaching, learning, and innovation through competitions.” They also demonstrate the educational strength and development level of our journalism and communication programs. Capitalizing on this success, the university will further improvethemanagement mechanisms for discipline-specific competitions,encourage faculty and students to activelyparticipatein high-level events, andcontinueto deepen the integration ofacademic competitions with professional education, allowing high-quality competitive outcomes to enhance classroom instruction.This strategy will effectively boost the core competitiveness of talent cultivation and provide strong momentum for building a first-class application-oriented university.
The National College Student Advertising Art Competition (commonly known as the “Da Guang Competition”) is a nationally recognized Class-A discipline competition under the guidance of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. It is renowned for its large scale, extensive coverage of higher education institutions, massive participation, high-caliber submissions, and significant social influence. By utilizing real-world client briefs, the competition serves as a crucial platform for evaluating teaching outcomes and talent cultivation quality in related majors such as advertising, media, and art design.
