Recently, the Organization Department of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology jointly issued a document announcing the list of selected individuals for the 14th Cohort of Shijiazhuang Backbone Talents (Youth).Two teachers from our university— Li Wenna from the School of Journalism and Communication, and Wu Mengxuan from the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation (School of International Exchange) —have been successfully selected.

The selection process for this cohortfocused on young talents who have made contributions across various disciplines in the natural sciences, social sciences, and all sectors of economic and social development. After going through procedures including individual application, institutional recommendation, qualification review, joint expert evaluation, and public disclosure, a total of100 individualswere ultimately selected.

Li Wenna, currently a professional teacher at the School of Journalism and Communication, is dedicated to scientific research and teaching in the field of media. She places great emphasis on integrating theory with practice, having published multiple articles in authoritative media outlets such as Hebei Daily and Hebei Economic Daily, as well as academic papers in core journals. Her social science research reports have received approval and recognition at the provincial level. In addition, she actively guides students in participating in professional competitions, leading them to win the first prize in the 5th National Classics Recitation, Writing, and Calligraphy Competition, and also guiding students to claim the first prize in the National College Students Advertising Art Competition, demonstrating her solid teaching proficiency and research capabilities.

Wu Mengxuancurrently serves as a teacher at the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation (School of International Exchange) and as a foreign affairs specialist. She also holds positions as a council member of the Shijiazhuang Musicians Association, Deputy Secretary-General of the Piano Committee of the Association, and council member of the Association's Music Education Art Committee. She is committed to empowering educational international exchange through the arts, actively organizing and coordinating various cultural and artistic exchange activities between China and other countries. She has innovatively integrated intangible cultural heritage elements such as Changshan War Drums and Hebei Bangzi opera into the education of international students in China, and has guided international students to participate in professional competitions, winning four awards at both national and provincial levels. Personally, she has been honored with the Excellence Award in Song Composition at the Hebei Province Music Golden Bell Award and the Gold Award in the Provincial Capital Singers Competition.

The selection of these two teachersis a testament to our university's achievements in building a strong team of young faculty members. The university will take this as an opportunity to continue strengthening the cultivation of young talent, build broader platforms for the professional growth of young teachers, and inspire more young professionals to contribute to the university's high-quality development and to the socioeconomic advancement of the local community.
