On the morning of July 19, Chen Liang, Secretary of the University Party Committee, led a delegation to the Shijiazhuang Le Rentang Health Culture & Technology Industrial Park to carry out the joint construction of university-enterprise practical teaching bases. Qi Xiaofeng, General Manager of Le Rentang Group, Wu Chunlei, Deputy General Manager, together with persons-in-charge of the Group’s Marketing Center and Popular Science Museum attended the event. Heads of the Publicity Department, Student Affairs Office, University Youth League Committee, School of Marxism, as well as faculty and student representatives of the university participated in the activity.

During the forum, Secretary Chen Liang introduced the university’s school-running orientation and talent development layout. Adhering to its positioning as a local application-oriented university, the institution has thoroughly implemented the “1396” Development Strategy, vigorously pushed forward the construction of the “Dual Excellence Project”, and systematically built an all-round pattern of ideological and political education.The university firmly takes fostering virtue through education as its fundamental task, innovatively establishes an integrated education system of six categories of courses under the overarching ideological and political education framework, and steadily advances labor education for the new era. It guides young students to step out of classrooms and take root in social practice, refining their moral character and enhancing their competence through real-world training.He noted that as a century-old Chinese time-honored brand, Le Rentang Group boasts profound red cultural heritage and abundant resources of traditional Chinese medicine, alongside a sound platform for labor research and study tours. It serves as a high-quality off-campus practice base for the university to carry out immersive ideological and political education and regular labor education. The joint construction of the two practical teaching bases marks an innovative initiative for complementary advantages and collaborative talent cultivation between the university and the enterprise.Qi Xiaofeng extended a warm welcome to Secretary Chen and his entourage. He elaborated on the enterprise’s century-long development journey, achievements in inheriting traditional Chinese medicine culture, and the construction of research and study platforms. He pledged full cooperation with the university in carrying out various education programs including ideological and political training and labor practice, so as to realize resource sharing, two-way empowerment and win-win results for both sides.

At the signing ceremony, Shi Jing, Director of the Publicity Department, and Wu Chunlei, Deputy General Manager of Le Rentang Group, signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Practical Teaching Base for “Comprehensive Ideological and Political Courses” of Shijiazhuang University. Lu Yufang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of Marxism, also signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Labor Education Practice Base of Shijiazhuang University with Wu Chunlei.Subsequently, Secretary Chen Liang awarded the letter of appointment as a practical teaching instructor for “Comprehensive Ideological and Political Courses” to General Manager Qi Xiaofeng of Le Rentang Group.

The successful joint establishment of the two practice bases further enriches our university’s off-campus practice carriers for ideological and political education and labor education, and expands pathways for talent cultivation through hands-on practice. Going forward, the university and the enterprise will set up a regular communication and coordination mechanism, jointly develop distinctive research and study courses, and organize a series of activities in an orderly manner, including summer social practice, lectures on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture, hands-on TCM herb cultivation experience, and free public health clinics. The two sides will nurture young people’s minds with fine traditional Chinese culture, temper students’ moral character through frontline labor practice, and work together to cultivate a new generation capable of shouldering the great mission of national rejuvenation, for the inheritance of TCM culture and high-quality development of the provincial capital.

Before the forum, Chen Liang and his entourage visited Le Rentang’s TCM Health Popular Science Museum and Life Experience Hall. They gained on-site insights into the time-honored brand’s inheritance of TCM culture, construction of popular science and research platforms, operation of labor practice venues, and delivery of public welfare volunteer services.
