Shijiazhuang University Inaugurates the Electronic Product Inspection and Testing Center
On the afternoon of July 16, the inauguration ceremony of the Shijiazhuang University Electronic Product Inspection and Testing Center, along with a university-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting, was held at Shangxue Building on the South Campus. Vice President Feng Baoqiang attended the event and delivered a speech. Participants included Xu Shufeng, former Deputy Director of Zhengding County Quality Supervision Bureau and Deputy Director of the Market Supervision Administration; Fan Zhiwei, Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Department of Hebei Fangwei Network Technology Co., Ltd.; Tong Xiaowei, Regional Director for External Markets; as well as relevant officials from the University Office, Future Information Technology School, and representatives of key faculty members.
In his address, Vice President Feng Baoqiang stated that the establishment of the Electronic Product Inspection and Testing Center is an important initiative for implementing the university’s “1396” development strategy, actively responding to local economic and social development needs, deepening industry-education integration, and strengthening the inspection and testing segment of the electronic information industry chain.
Leveraging the advantages of three provincial-level research platforms—the Hebei Province IoT Intelligent Sensing and Application Technology Innovation Center, the Hebei Province Key Laboratory of IoT and Blockchain Integration, and the Hebei Engineering Research Center for IoT Security and Sensor Testing—the university will provide testing and technical services for IoT enterprises across Hebei Province and nationwide. The center will focus on areas such as electronic product performance and reliability testing, electromagnetic compatibility testing, and sensor testing and evaluation. It aims to build a comprehensive platform integrating testing services, research support, and industrial services, providing strong support for enhancing the market competitiveness of IoT products in Hebei Province and promoting the high-quality development of the regional electronic information industry.
In his speech, Xu Shufeng emphasized that professional and authoritative inspection and testing services are essential guarantees for electronic information products entering the market. Drawing on his extensive experience in quality supervision and inspection and testing, he offered valuable suggestions on the center’s standardized development, improvement of qualification capabilities, and establishment of credibility. He expressed hope that the center would uphold the principles of science, fairness, independence, and integrity, and strive to become a high-level testing platform serving enterprises and industrial development.
Following the speeches, Vice President Feng Baoqiang and Fan Zhiwei jointly unveiled the plaque of the Shijiazhuang University Electronic Product Inspection and Testing Center.
During the subsequent exchange and discussion session, participants held in-depth discussions on topics including the future development of the center, industry-university-research cooperation, commercialization of technological achievements, and joint talent cultivation. They reached broad consensus on the center’s operational mechanisms, testing capability development, and collaborative growth between the university and enterprises.
The establishment of the Electronic Product Inspection and Testing Center marks a solid step forward for Shijiazhuang University in serving the electronic information industry through inspection and testing capabilities. Going forward, the university will use the center as a platform to further strengthen cooperation with research institutions and industry enterprises, steadily enhance testing capabilities and accreditation conditions, promote innovation and application of IoT and electronic information technologies, and contribute the university’s strength to the economic and social development of Shijiazhuang and the high-quality growth of regional industries.
