Party Secretary Chen Leads Summer “Extensive Home Visit”Program for School of Marxism

On July 19, Chen Liang, Party Secretary of our university, led a team to conduct home visits to studentsfrom the School of Marxism. Relevant officials from the Student Affairs Office, the leadership of the School of Marxism, and counselors participated in the activity.
During the visit, Secretary Chen sat down with the student and parents for an in-depth conversation, carefully inquiring about the student’s family situation, overall performance at our university, summer study and living arrangements, and plans for further education. Upon learning that the student faced heavy financial burdens due to family changes, Secretary Chen provided the parents with a comprehensive explanation of national and our university’s student financial aid and support policies. He urged the student to promptly report any academic confusion or life difficulties to counselors and the school during their time at our university, assuring them that our university would coordinate and allocate various resources to provide comprehensive support. Regarding the student’s plans to prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination, Secretary Chen expressed full affirmation and encouragement. He encouraged the student to seize the critical undergraduate learning period, leverage the advantages of their ideological and political education major, formulate a scientific study plan, set ambitious long-term goals while remaining grounded to consolidate their professional foundation, broaden their development platform through further education, and in the future use their professional expertise to give back to their family and serve society.
The parents were deeply moved by the university leaders and teachers who visited despite the sweltering summer heat, and sincerely thanked our university for its long-term meticulous cultivation and warm support of their child. The student stated that this face-to-face exchange was highly inspiring and made their goals clearer. They will always remember the entrustment of the university leaders, study diligently, strive for self-improvement, and repay the cultivation of our university and the care of society with excellent academic performance.
